Apologetics Conference

Yesterday I attended an apologetics conference at another Baptist church here in Buffalo. Technically it started on Friday night, and the entire thing was fun, interesting, and educational. I really enjoyed the exposure to people outside of my normal bubble of friends, family, and acquaintances. Digging into deeper things of scripture and how to approach my faith is not something I am used to doing often with people I’ve just met. I even met a few bloggers and was able to discuss the subject that got me into blogging in the first place: how to teach oneself Greek. I might pick this up as a subtopic again, as it seems there might be some of this happening locally in a very small group setting. We shall see.

I also discovered that the HCSB bible translation is being updated and renamed the CSB; a critique I and other bibliobloggers brought up back when the translation was first introduced. Better late than never. Most exciting was that the Apologetics Study Bible is going to be updated and rereleased in 2017 and I’m going to pick it up for the first time when that happens.
