Currently making my way through this book. While encouraging an essentially vegan diet of no meat, dairy, eggs, author Michael Greger, MD calls his plan a Whole Foods Plant Based approach. There are two parts to the book; part one has the how not to die to various things that ail us, and part two has suggested food & drink along with exercise. Will post more after I finish reading.
So far, I have adopted some vitamins (C, B12, multi) and reinforced my consumption of curries. Curry powder has tons of awesome spices in it that are great for you including turmeric and fennugreek, both of which I had purchased a couple of months ago and made my own curry powder with (along with other spices, naturally). Anyways, I’ve also added some nuts, seeds, and berries into my daily diet and things continue to improve.
